You can see the PS4 XMB on the Vita and also on your HDTV at the same time. Once the code is entered, the PS Vita will confirm the connection and start a Remote Play session. Enter the code we received from the PS4.ĩ. Next, we will get the pairing screen on the PS Vita. We will need this code for our PS Vita.Ĩ. This feature won’t be available to test in the beta, but you can look forward to it soon.

Sony has featured remote play features in their consoles since the PS3 and the PSP. This allows the user to “share” games between the PS4 and the Vita. One of the most popular is the ability to connect your PS Vita to the PS4. I'll be very surprised if the PS4's native streaming isn't at least Looking forward to it.The PS4 allows several second screen and remote play abilities. It works, but not nearly as well and as reliably as the native Xbox app, and it doesn't run at 1080p. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised at how well it works.
In my office I can see the artifacts when I play full screen on one of my 40" 4k displays, but I guess that's to be expected.
On the family room 1080p screen in it looks really nice and at our couch distance I can't really tell much of a difference from when I'm playing the Xbox natively in the media room. My office/gaming PC, living room HTPC (Intel NUC) and Xbox One are all wired and I play my Xbox One somewhat frequently this way. If you're internal network can handle it, then you can set the streaming quality in the Xbox Windows app to Very High and you get streaming. If it's anything like the X1's remote play to PC it should allow you to play full screen, not sure on the resolution though, don't think the Xbox One plays at full res. We’re making it easier to play together with friends and adding the ability to appear offline when you’d rather play solo. Regardless of whether you’re in the beta, we wanted to detail some of the key features we’re adding to PS4 in this update.
